Having a 50:50 feeling of getting perfect Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) results, 16-year-old Yip Ka-yeung of Wah Yan College (Hong Kong) went to his school with his mother to find out. And it was good news - he scored 10 As! Ka-yeung is the only student in his school who obtained 10 As. He got A(1)s in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Religious Studies and A(2)s in Chinese Language, English Language, Additional Mathematics, Computer Studies and Principles of Accounts. 'After sitting the mock exam, I realised I would do pretty well,' he said. 'But I'm still very excited!' His mother said: 'His results are a very good reward for me.' Ka-yeung studied and did exercises every day. He also joined some intensive tutorial classes to familiarise himself with the exam formats. The outstanding student, who is a prefect, a member of the school choir and athletics team, hopes to pursue a career in computers, business or science.
