Student association seeks new committee members
Are school activities too boring for you? Why not get together and share some of your wacky ideas with like-minded students from other schools?
Sounds good? Then you might want to give the Student Welfare Association (SWA) a buzz.
Established last June to promote student benefits, the SWA is now recruiting committee members for the new academic year. Any Form Six students from member schools are welcome to apply for the positions.
SWA founder and chairman Liu Yee-tak said: 'We hope more students can join the SWA as they can learn so much through being a committee member.'
The Queen's College student said his communication and social skills had been enhanced through organising joint-school functions. His social circle had also expanded as he met students from different districts.
Two briefing sessions were held recently for candidates and schools interested in becoming members. The last briefing session is at Queen's College tomorrow morning.
