Ever imagined that 'treasure' is buried around your school, and is just waiting for you to find it? St Paul's Secondary School was transformed into a hunting ground recently when students went looking for just that. The hunt was jointly organised by the school's Astronomy Society, Chinese Literacy Club, Community Youth Club, Geography Club and History Club. Students formed groups of three or four and had to finish 16 questions and tasks within one hour. To find the checkpoints where question cards were hidden, they had to solve riddles. For example, to find the checkpoint at the library they had to find 'the place with tonnes of worms' while the chapel checkpoint was 'the most holy place in our school'. Finding the right checkpoint was not the end of the contest. Competitors had to answer questions and complete various tasks such as reading tongue-twisters and 'imitating the rotation of the sun, moon and the earth'. The hunt ended with a prize presentation to the group with highest score. However, each participant had won their own treasure - knowledge they had learned. Carmen is a Young Post student reporter
