The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIED) has put together a crack team to help students with their studies.
The team is made up of about 120 HKIED students, who are now Tutors-on-the-Net on Tutor Online, which is produced by RTHK.
Students can send their questions to the ETV Website, www.etvonline.tv, and the tutors will answer them on weekdays from 7.30pm-9.30pm, and 8.55am-10.25am on Saturdays. The Saturday session will also be broadcast live on ATV Home and the ETV Web site.
Executive producer Horace Yow said the programme could benefit students as well as the trainee teachers.
'Through the feedback from educators, we knew that there was a demand for this. It really helps students who can't afford a private tutor,' he said. 'The HKIED students will know what questions will come up in class before they become a real teacher.'
A special session, Learning to Learn, designed by Chinese University of Hong Kong's Faculty of Education will be included in the live broadcast.
