While Ying Wa beat Lok Sin Tong Ku Chiu Man Secondary School 14-12, last year's girls' champions Ho Kwok Pui Chun scored a 14-8 victory over STFA Leung Kau Kui College in the finals at Tseung Kwan O Sports Centre.

Ying Wa coach Alex Pong Yiu-wing said the game was tougher than they had anticipated.

'The performance of their goalkeeper was really outstanding. He put our attacking players under lots of pressure,' he said.

He also appreciated the strong will and unfailing spirit of their rivals.

Ying Wa led only 6-4 at half-time, and Ku Chiu Man stayed within range of their rivals throughout the match.

Pong said several players were not in good shape because they had to focus on their mock A-level exams recently and had little time to prepare for the game.
