Many people have benefited from the Yuen Long crocodile since its appearance a month ago. The whole of Hong Kong was captivated by its movements, and wondering how it got there in the first place.

For weeks, the media was tracking its move and drawing international interest, while many local people who were fascinated by it flocked to the village just to catch a glimpse of it.

This scaly reptile has brought good luck to Hong Kong, giving us a good profile in the international media and providing good business opportunities for many people, especially the local villagers.

Hong Kong people have very sharp business acumen. Soon after the crocodile hunt began in early November, a hotel in Tin Shui Wai immediately came up with a special lunch, and crocodile tour package, to lure tourists.

People in the village also jumped in quickly to take advantage of the sudden influx of visitors and made a small fortune over the past few weeks.
