C, B, B, A, E, L, R and S. What word could be possibly formed with these eight letters?

Aha! Scrabble. Are you familiar with this popular board game?

This weekend, more than 400 students from over 100 primary and secondary schools will take part in the first-ever inter-school scrabble championship in Hong Kong, to be held at Tsing Yi's Po Leung Kuk Caster Primary School.

Divided into the primary and secondary categories, each team consists of three players and one reserve.

The competition is part of a Scrabble festival, introduced last August by US toy manufacturer Mattel and Broadlearning Education. The winning teams will be awarded a hamper worth $4,000.

The festival, featuring a Scrabble learning platform and school projects, aims to promote the word game as a tool for learning English.
