Two years ago Norah Jones crashed into the international music scene, scooping up a string of awards with her debut album Come Away With Me.
While the 24-year-old pianist and singer has infused her follow-up release, Feels Like Home, with the same blend of blues, folk and jazz, there's a country element, particularly on the number Creepin' In, a duet with Dolly Parton.
The album, produced with Arif Mardin, is more up-tempo than we have come to expect. Opener Sunrise, co-written by Jones and her boyfriend Lee Alexander, has a bright and lighthearted feel, while those looking to capture the vibe of the first album will enjoy tracks like Those Sweet Words and Carnival Town.
Meanwhile, bluesy numbers In the Morning and Be Here to Love Me let Jones show off her singing talents to the full.
Whether the album will bring the multi-Grammy winner more prizes it's hard to tell, but commercial success is guaranteed - more than a million copies were sold in its first week.
