A thrilling introduction to extreme sports

many screamed 'let me down' as they nervously made their way up the climbing wall at the YMCA King's Park Centenary Centre in Jordan on Sunday.

But after a few tries many of the participants in the Coca Cola Adventures Day were hooked and couldn't wait to get back up.

The event was organised by Swire Coca-Cola Hong Kong and the YMCA and was supported by Young Post.

Like most of the participants, it was Wong Shuk-kwan's first taste of the extreme sport.

'I've never had the chance to try this sport before. It's pretty difficult,' said the 15-year-old.

'It's scary when you are high up on the wall and you cannot figure out the next step to take. But it's a lot of fun and it's challenging.'

Another beginner, Chow Mei-nam, 15, said: 'It's something new to me. It is really challenging.'
