Early Hong Kong Brothels

Extended by popular demand, the exhibition features photographs from the 1850s to 1960s from the collection of Hong Kong historian Mr Cheng Po-hung. The city's earliest brothels were found in and around Lyndhurst Terrace in Central, where western prostitutes worked, while Chinese brothels were located around Tai Ping Shan. The brothels later moved to Possession Street, and then on to other areas. Treasures of the Chengde Summer Palace Exhibition
