The education chief remains the biggest property investor in the chief executive's cabinet.
Principal officials' declaration of interests released by the government yesterday show the number of properties owned by officials is similar to last year.
Secretary for Education and Manpower Arthur Li Kwok-cheung owns 73 properties, including three in Britain, and eight car parks solely or jointly with family members.
He is also a shareholder in five companies, although he said he did not take part in their daily operations.
Dr Li is followed by Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food Yeoh Eng-kiong, who announced his resignation last week after being blamed for mishandling the Sars outbreak last year. He wholly owns five properties - one in Hong Kong, two in Britain and two in Malaysia.
Dr Yeoh is also a shareholder in four Malaysian companies and one Australian firm, which together own 18 properties and four plots of land.
