Chief executive Alex Yeung Sau-hung said its team of brokers and research analysts helped clients identify investment objectives and customise options to develop a balanced and diversified portfolio to suit their individual needs.
The company employs more than 200 staff, with 100 brokers and 20 analysts who prepare detailed company and market reports. DBS Vickers is the securities arm of the DBS Group, one of the largest banking groups in Southeast Asia.
'To succeed in the securities industry you need to provide clients with a much broader range of services. In the past we just bought and sold stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other investment securities,' Mr Yeung said.
'We now offer a broad range of fixed-income tools, comprehensive financial planning, structured products and multiple investment portfolios that diversify risk.'
