Maggie finds a passion for song

We all know she can act, but can she sing too? Movie star Maggie Cheung Man-yuk has hinted she might try her hand at a music career. Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, which is screening Clean, the film for which she won best actress at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Cheung said: 'I don't think I will switch [from acting] but I wouldn't mind exploring further into singing. The nicest surprise I got from this film is the singing part and it opened up some passion in me for this. I think I will go on to try it unless I can't do it.' The soundtrack for the Olivier Assayas-directed Clean includes four tunes performed by Cheung. Will a solo album follow soon? 'Who knows,' Cheung said, 'but I will try'.
