GIGI to join green campaign

Canto-pop star Gigi Leung Wing-kei will join more than 1,000 alumni from the Polytechnic University (PolyU) in a tree-planting campaign at the King's Park Recreation Ground in Ho Man Tin on Sunday.

The community activity, Greening Hong Kong by PolyU Alumni, is organised by the Federation of PolyU Alumni Association and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Leung, a design graduate from the university, has been appointed as the PolyU Greening Hong Kong Ambassador.

More than 1,000 former students are expected to bring along their families and friends to plant more than 2,000 trees at the playground. The event will also feature performances and game booths organised by the alumni association and the university.
