Keep up with developments - or be left behind, says Epson Hong Kong executive

POSTGRADUATE learning is a way of keeping pace with a changing world, says William Tsang, administrative manager at Epson Hong Kong.

'Learning is not just about staying busy by continuing to attend one course after another, gathering more and more information - it also puts priority on noticing, adapting and learning from change,' said the Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) Master of Corporate Governance graduate.

Mr Tsang, who won a top student award and also completed an MBA programme with the OUHK, said he realised the need to upgrade his skills more than 10 years ago, when he noticed his work colleagues boosting their career prospects through further education.

'Continuous learning has become a prominent concept over the past decade,' he said.

'Organisations are changing rapidly. It is difficult to find an approach to doing something in organisations that doesn't soon become outdated.
