Hong Kong people were happier in November last year than they were the same time the year before, according to a survey by RTHK and the City University of Hong Kong.
The chief sources of happiness were: holidays or travel, followed by good relations with relatives and friends.
Work-related pressures were the major cause of dissatisfaction.

Women scored higher than men, rating 7.34 out of 10 on the happiness scale, compared with 7.14.
In the unstable period of early 2003, Manulife Hong Kong found that having a harmonious family was the most important factor contributing to happiness.
