Two years ago, musician Wilson Tsang Wing-hei embarked on a project to explore his memories.

Drawing inspiration from some of the most important events in his life, he came up with an album, Little Cold Red, which will be launched on Monday with a concert and exhibition of his art.

'When I started the project, the words 'cold red' came into my mind,' he says. 'Although red represents alertness and passion, it's cooled down a bit by putting the word 'cold' in front of it. It's like how our memories get washed out by time.'

On record, Tsang's sound is a low-fi combination of folk, rock, electronica and classical, but the formula will be altered for the concert, because of the presence of Alok Leung, Little Cold Red's co-producer. Leung is known for his noisy guitar-driven solo releases, as well as his now-defunct band, experimental electro outfit Slow Tech Riddim.
