Electric Sheer lipshines ($160 - below) are the latest offering from Estee Lauder. The semi-translucent formula comprises shea, almond and cocoa butter to create a lightweight texture. They glide on easily and have just a hint of colour. The glosses come in six tones: Sheer Kissy, Sheer Desire, Sheer Passion, Sheer Baby Pink, Sheer Sheer Candy and Sheer Sheer Mania. Available at Sogo and Estee Lauder, IFC, Festival Walk and New Town Plaza, from May 16.

They come in five shades: opal, peach, gold, mint and sky ($160 each). Her new season lip glosses ($160 each) come in nectarine, bright pink, pink beige and rose, and contain a touch of white pigment to create a natural look. Origins Natural Resources has introduced a gentle version of home dermabrasion. Modern Friction is said to improve skin texture, soften fine lines and calm irritated skin. A key ingredient is rice starch (plus a creamy buffing paste). Being naturally sticky, the starch can help draw out dirt and oil from the skin. Origins says to gently massage a small amount over clean, dry skin for 30 seconds or until it balls up. Wash off with water. Available for $350 from Sogo, Festival Walk, Shop LG1-60 and Faces, Shop 202, Ocean Terminal.
Clinique's Super City Block Oil-free Daily Face Protector SPF40 ($190/40ml) could be just the thing for those wanting to prevent sun damage without a greasy face. It has a subtle tint and absorbs quickly, leaving a matte finish. Clinique says anti-oxidants, including tocopherol acetate (vitamin E), liquorice extract and polyethylene - which suspends sunscreens on the surface of the skin - combine to create a calming and protective effect. Available from Clinique shops and counters.
