Summer scents have arrived to help us smell sweet in the heat. Designer Roberto Cavalli's latest is a revamp of his women's fragrance Oro ($343/25ml; $648/75ml). The bottle looks more like a gold fountain pen than a fragrance. There are top notes of magnolia, pepper and red apple, with freesia, patchouli, vanilla pods and musk included in the overall scent. Cavalli also offers a full bath and body range in the same fragrance. Available from Extravaganza at Silvercord and New World Plaza in TST.
Burberrry's famous checks are given a flash of red for a new special edition version of its Brit fragrance to be released next month. Brit Red (right, $660/100ml) for women has a sparkling green mandarin and fresh jasmine scent infused with red roses and vanilla. Available from Burberry, Times Square, Causeway Bay.
MNG Your Jeans (far right, $288/100ml) is a new fragrance from Mango. The colourful bottle aims to reflect the young, hip image of the label. The fragrance is predominantly lily of the valley with a hint of fruit and vanilla. Available from Extravaganza at Silvercord, TST.
Paco Rabanne's offering - Ultraviolet Fluorescence eau de toilette ($455/ 80ml) - is a fusion of pink grapefruit, coral flower and sandalwood and is packaged in a sugar pink circular bottle. Available from FACES, Watsons and Seiyu.
Celine is about to release a new fragrance for men and women in Fever, a woody, opulent scent for women and a dense and fresh wood aroma for men ($560/100ml for women; $450/100ml for men). Fever for women combines blood orange, frangipani and jasmine to create a zesty, intense perfume. Available from Extravaganza, APM Mall, Kwun Tong.
Nina Ricci's new Lucky Day charm bottle looks fresh in pink and white ($440/100ml). The perfume has a top note of apple and sweet pea mixed with star anise and lotus flower, this summer fragrance could be a day-time staple. Available from FACES, Watson's and Siebu.
