Smashbox Cosmetics has released I-Prime, an under-eye concealer and primer. The two-in-one product (far right) is a primer on one side and a concealer on the other for quick fixes on the run. Smashbox says the primer smooths on easily to diminish fine lines and the concealer hides dark circles without caking. It also contains vitamins A, C and E. It's available in six different shades and comes with a mirror and application brush. Available for $210 from Extravaganza at APM Mall, Lane Crawford, and Langham Place.

Christian Dior's Capture XR60/80 range (above) has become more concentrated, with a new ingredient called Bi-Skin. It's said to have been discovered by a cosmetology researcher who noticed that when seaweed connected with the skin it 'latched' on to the hollows of wrinkles like a patch. 'Then, as water evaporated, it retracted, pulling up the skin to leave it completely smooth,' Dior says. In products containing Bi-Skin, the company found it reduced 80 per cent of wrinkles over one month during consumer tests.

Bi-Skin is included in the Capture XR-Lotion ($275/200ml) for morning and night, the Capture XR60/80 Extra-Vital Restoring Serum (far left, $480/30ml) and the Intense Wrinkle Night Cream ($600/50ml). Available at all Dior counters.

Zegna's new fragrance for men ($450/100ml for the eau de toilette) is described as reflecting the Zegna image of someone who is 'adventurous and incisive'. Sicilian bergamot is combined with rosemary and casoar (a blueberry from Papua New Guinea, chosen for its hints of redcurrant). The scent comes with a range of products, including an after-shave lotion ($290/100ml), a deodorant stick ($140/75ml) and hair and body wash ($170/200ml). Available at Ermenegildo Zegna counters in Lane Crawford.

MTM, a beauty company from Japan, has released its custom-blended Deep Cleansing PuriMask in Hong Kong to counteract the damaging effects of pollution. Customers can ask for their own special blend of ingredients to suit their skin type. The product is infused with kaolin, a lightly formulated mint mask for absorbing oil. You can choose to include other ingredients such as linden extract or meadowsweet. 'Acting like a magnet to dirt, this mask also removes impurities and minimises pores,' MTM says. It also aims to calm irritated, blemished skin and make spots less visible. Available from MTM skincare centres in Times Square, Festival Walk and Ocean Centre.
