Fruit of Barbie's loins gives lemon show zest

Here's an art exhibition with real a-peel.

Before it ends this weekend, be sure to check out The Lemon Show, located in the second-floor lobby of Times Square.

This zesty display features 11 works of art made from more than 2,000 fresh lemons. There are Barbie dolls wrapped in lemon-skin bikinis, and even a lemon floor collage.

True to Hong Kong form, there is a shopping angle to the show, which is staged by the Philippe Charriol Foundation. It is intended to boost sales of citrus-smelling beauty products at shops such as Crabtree & Evelyn, while the Food Forum is serving lemon dishes.

On the charitable side, a booth will be set up tomorrow and on Saturday for donations to the End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation (founded by local screen legend Josephine Siao Fong-fong). Give $40 or more and receive a scoop of Haagen Dazs lemon sorbet and a mini candle from OMWorld. The show runs until Sunday.
