Here's an event that's goofy in so many ways, we have to mention it. McDonalds will mark the opening of their Youth Football Scheme this Sunday by inviting 2,005 kids to come out to the Hong Kong Sports Institute's grass pitch in Sha Tin to stage a simultaneous football dribbling performance. Officiating will be those symbols of athletic excellence, teen idols Charlene Choi from the Twins and Kenny Kwan from the Boyz.
In short, everyone is going to trek out to Sha Tin, kick a ball between their own feet for a few seconds, and then go home. It's not actually a large enough gathering to be a world record, but this is the eighth year the golden arches has organised such an event. In the press release, they even proudly proclaim that the scheme 'has successfully attracted over 190,000 participants by now, with many going on to become successful football players'. In what league?
