Peak Tram off the rails

Just a quick word of warning if you have tourist friends in town: The Peak Tram is suspended from today until Thursday for upgrades. If you really need to get up there, it'll have to be buses, cabs or a 30-minute hike from Central. Yeah, it's a hassle. Think of it this way, now it sounds like a great excuse to not have to wrestle with busloads of mainland tourists to take your Aunt Martha to Madame Tussauds. The tram service resumes normal service on Friday.

Another thing, the Fringe has finally got its liquor licence renewed, so don't even think about bringing that cheap bottle from 7-Eleven upstairs.
