Like moths to a flame, many people are fascinated by shiny, glistening objects - especially when they're worth loads of money.
Not surprisingly, about 200 of Hong Kong's glamorous set were at Aria in Exchange Square recently to admire Just Diamond's latest line of Forevermark Exotica baubles.
In keeping with the theme, Aria was transformed into a jungle-like habitat with the help of artificial foliage and a conga player. Besides the decor, the multi-coloured drinks hinted at the event's wild and tropical nature.
Against such an outlandish setting, models in bikinis and swimming trunks paraded more than 20 sets of jewellery, all made with DTC Forever-mark diamonds and 18-carat white gold.
One of the highlights of the evening was the appearance of Taiwanese actress Annie Liu Hsin-you (also known as Lau Sum-yau), who modelled an ornate diamond necklace valued at $1 million.
Among the assembled admirers were Adrian Li Man-kiu, Addy Chan Wai-keung, Yardley Wong, Leo Fan, Shirley Hiranand, Gary Mui Ho-cheung and Graham Collins.
