It takes a lot to get the media's attention these days, but the crew at MTV Whatever Things! found at least one innovative way to get noticed. They put a couple of the team on stage and kick 'em in the groin. At Thursday's press conference announcing the show's third season of stunts, pranks and stupidity, the ever masochistic jokers from the gang demonstrated their extreme jocularity by volunteering to take a boot to the nether regions. All we can say is ouch!
The show's celebrity host, Edison Chen Koon-hei (left), was smart enough to stay away from the stunt, but he did tell us more about the programme in which, at one point, he disguised himself as a Thai policeman tricking tourists. 'It was so much fun because you have no script and you just say and do whatever. We told the tourists that terrorists were after them, took off people's wigs and threatened them with jail for buying pirated things and they believed us.'
Sounds like it might be the best acting of Chen's career so far.
