If you think the best spas in Asia are elsewhere, think again.

Hollywood Road's Sense of Touch recently walked away with Spa Asia magazine's award for Asia's Best Small Day Spa 2005. Unfortunately, being eight months' pregnant, founder Anna Orvay couldn't make it to Hau Hin, Thailand, to pick up the prize.

It's worth noting that she recently  launched a second, larger salon on Arbuthnot Road and her spas' claim to fame is a painless waxing process secretly sourced from America. 'We take the ouch out of the Brazilian,' she explains.

CitySeen may not know about waxings but with her baby due early next month,  we suggest Ms Orvay worry more about the 'ouch' involved in that procedure.
