There are fans, and then there are the real fanatics. They stalk a star's every appearance and infiltrate the most exclusive cordon just to get close to their idol and snap a few pictures. So it was with Aaron Kwok Fu-sing (left) when he opened a new Clarins store on Friday on Canton Road. Despite an overflowing throng of guests and media, at least half a dozen Aaron die-hards still snuck in to go elbow-to-elbow with the media for the photo vantage. And the most interesting fan was a middle-aged woman with a young boy.
As Kwok came out for the photo-ops, the woman thrust her child in front of the pop star to get shots of them together. In the ensuing madness, PR reps could do nothing but watch while Kwok, complete with shades, seemed oblivious to the child. Earlier, the same poor kid, tired of waiting in the packed space, was heard moaning to his mum, 'Can we go home?' We predict much therapy ahead.
