Those impressed by the singer at the Island Shangri-La's Lobster Bar should know she's more than a great voice. Jazz singer Stephanie Biddle (right) also has a TV and film career. The Montreal native appeared with Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry in The Whole Nine Yards, sang with Vanessa Williams in a TV version of A Christmas Carol and starred in a West African movie based on the opera Carmen. 'I even did some work with the opera in Normandy, France, when I lived there,' Biddle recalls.
'I've been singing since I was three, but I was an actress first. I still am, when I can get the work.
'With The Whole Nine Yards, that was special because I didn't even have to audition. The producers saw me singing and just wrote me into the movie. I got to hobnob with Bruce and Matthew. It was a blast.
'Same with working with Vanessa Williams. We sang a Christmas jingle duet. She's so down to earth, it was like hanging out with a girlfriend. All my relatives were so impressed. They were like, 'Girl! We saw you with Vanessa!' Maybe one day I can do a movie with Jackie Chan here.'
