The deadline has been extended for this year's independent short film and video awards (IFVA). The annual competition nurtures budding young media creators. The fest says it is extending this year's deadline 'due to overwhelming response'. So you have until October 28 to enrol your work, then the entry submission deadline itself is November 18. Entry forms can be obtained from IFVA's office on the 8th floor of the Arts Centre, or online at www.ifva.com. Winners are eligible for prizes totalling $1 million. For information, call 2824 5328 or 2582 0267.
