He already has merit honours from Italy, France and Belgium; and this evening, Wayne Leung Kwok-yin (above) will be receiving another prestigious order from yet another European country.

The German consul-general will bestow on the longtime arts fund-raiser the Merit Cross of the Order of the Federal Republic of Germany at the atrium of Island Shangri-La Hotel.

The consulate explains the printing mogul is being given this award 'for his permanent and untiring efforts to promote the cultural relations and the friendship' between Germany and Hong Kong. We might have to nickname him Euro Wayne.
