All week long, broadcast maverick Robert Chua Wah-peng and veteran scribe Ted Thomas (right) have been hyping up their new venture, The Interactive Channel. Chua is the founder CEO, while Thomas is co-hosting an interactive chat show called What's Up After 8? The channel has been soft-launched, but this week promises to be the grand debut of TIC (available on i-CABLE on Channel 27, Hong Kong Broadband Network at Channel 47, or online at www.tictv.com).

According to Thomas, who used to be a columnist here at the Post, he's coming out of semi-retirement to check out what the new multimedia station offers. 'The interesting thing is it's the first interactive TV programme in Asia, if not the world, where the caller actually comes on the screen themselves through their telephone or the webcam and talks to the audience. So, you're literally a TV star yourself ... Also, I haven't done TV in about five or six years so this is kind of a comeback for me, too.'
