The film awards season has just started and early signs show that Chinese artists are going to be in the thick of it. In addition to the Golden Globes nominations yesterday, Gong Li has just been voted Best Supporting Actress by the National Board of Review for her role in Memoirs of a Geisha. Meanwhile, Stephen Chow Sing-chi's Kung Fu Hustle beat Wong Kar-wai's 2046 to be the Boston Society of Film Critics' Best Foreign Film for 2005.
