Cold weather didn't put a damper on the opening of Chanel's new store in the Prince's Building.

Guests gathered to admire the three-storey shop's signature works of art as well as architect Peter Marino's stunning exterior design, which resembles the classic Chanel No5 bottle. The exterior's five-storey LED screen facade, featuring an animation by artist Michal Rovner, was also unveiled. Joining Rovner were fellow artists Jean-Michel Othoniel, who designed the store's 32-metre, three-storey strand of Murano glass pearls, and Francois-Xavier Lalanne, sculptor of the deer statue.

Other guests included president of Chanel Europe Francoise Montenay, managing director of Chanel Greater China Robert Wilkins, and president of Chanel Asia-Pacific Vincent Shaw. Also present were Heather & March's Wendy Siu Sheung-yuen with banker husband Anthony Siu, Bruno Pavlovsky, and Robert and Sally Lo.
