Appropriate for the Year of the Dog, Hutchison Whampoa has invited Japan's famous Wan Wan Dog Circus to come to Hong Kong later this month for a series of free shows in Hunghom. From January 21 to 28, the acclaimed troupe of 10 acrobatic pooches will make its Hong Kong debut with shows over two consecutive weekends in the basement atrium of Whampoa's Fashion World (on January 21 and 22) and outdoors on Shun King Street (January 27 and 28).

The family-owned circus was founded in 1955 in Fujioka prefecture and is recognised by Guinness World Records for such stunts as 53 consecutive jump-rope skips by 10 dogs. Other hot-dogging tricks include canines on the flying trapeze, playing piano and doing maths. There will be three shows a day on Saturdays and Sundays, at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.
