Most models starve themselves to stay slender, but not Kathy Chow Man-kei. The sexy gourmand has been hosting TV food shows and writing books documenting her eating, travel and shopping adventures. On Monday, she launched her second such Chinese publication, My Style Guide, this time featuring restaurants, street stalls, shops and salons specifically on Hong Kong Island.

'It is hard to say which restaurant is my favourite, as different restaurants have different appeals for customers. Some have nice environments and some have delicious food,' Chow said, 'but they are all in my book now.'

Chow's first book was on Taiwan, with a preface written by her long-rumoured boyfriend Sean Lien, eldest son of former chairman of Kuomintang Lien Chan. 'I asked him to write the preface because that book was about Taiwan, but this time I can present Hong Kong myself,' Chow said.

Maybe she should focus more on the editing though. The very first restaurant she profiles is Yung Kee in Wellington Street. But it's misspelled as Yung Yee. We wish her better luck with her next tome on Kowloon and the New Territories due for July's Hong Kong Book Fair.
