Valentine's Day may have passed but romance is alive and kicking for local Indian association, the Young Executives Group. The club's name is slightly misleading since it has been around for close to 25 years and most of its members have been married just as long. But tonight at the Hong Kong Country Club, some 60 of its member couples will renew their vows at a post-Valentine social called Saat Phere.

'We've told each couple to come as if they were to get married for the first time,' says events co-ordinator Bhagwan Chugani (below). 'We will have an Indian priest and altar and girls will be throwing flower petals. And since there are about 62 couples, it will be one minute per couple.'

Talk about quickie vows. At least in speed-dating, you get three minutes. But no doubt all couples will appreciate this about the ceremony - no nagging in-laws.
