After a decade in the business, Malaysian-Chinese singer-songwriter Michael Wong Kong Leong is finally going to perform his first major solo concert, stopping off in Hong Kong on the initial leg of his concert tour.

The 35-year-old will perform the concert, First Fairy Tale, at the Hong Kong Coliseum next month.

Wong, whose new album, Commitment, is due for release on March 3, will be the first Malaysian musician to play at the venue.

'Music is the only thing I've got,' he said. 'I want to present my first concert as a gift to my fans.'

Wong said he'd like to invite Leon Lai Ming and Taiwanese singer Rene Liu to be guest performers.
