Tell us about the brand:
It's from Spain and, although it arrived in Hong Kong only recently, it's not new in other parts of the world. Ricardo Fisas created the company in 1979, when he was the manager of a Barcelona cosmetics research laboratory. He became interested in breaking down links in protein chains that allow collagen, elastin and keratin to penetrate the skin, and developed a cream to do just that. Natura Bisse is now a family-run business (with his wife and daughters). The company started with five creams and now offers about 300. It was originally targeted at hotels and spas, but also sells in high-end stores such as Lane Crawford and Harrods in London.
What's so good about it?
Natura Bisse says it can achieve 'spa results at home'. And, after trying the Diamond bio-regenerative cream, some locals are impressed. 'I think it's one of the best face creams I've tried,' says one woman in her early 40s. Having tried it a few times, I can vouch for its immediate softening and deep hydration. You need to use the cream for a while to get the best line-reducing results, but one online report from the US says skin was smoother after just a week.
How much does it cost?
The Diamond Anti-aging Bio-regenerative Cream is $2,800 for 50ml, which puts it in the La Prairie and Sisley price range.
