It's a fact of life. We're a hairy species, but being overly hirsute is definitely not hot. So it is with some interest that CitySeen checked out the Bliss Spa's new Poetic Waxing treatment demonstration last Friday at the Lane Crawford Training Academy. The product suggests it is fast and pain-free, but when pushed to defend the claim, Anna Marie Cilmi, director of Bliss spa's education and development section, admitted that 'people worry that it's going to be really painful. Of course, there will be some involved, but the strip-less wax is far less painful than you'd expect'.
Well, we'll believe it when we see it. The waxing demonstration was performed on the faint follicles of a female model's arm. Surprise, surprise, the girl barely flinched. If you really want to prove your point, rip the coarse thick coat from a hairy bloke's lower back without him screaming bloody murder. Now, that would convince us.
