What is it?
A machine called the Biopulsar from Canadian company Colour Energy is said to be able to read your auras and chakras using electric currents from your hands. It's done at a spa, so the therapist can tailor your treatment to suit your needs.
What happens?
You put one hand on a sensor that resembles a bed of round-headed nails. Then, you're asked to breathe deeply and clear your mind. Attached to the sensor is a laptop. On one side of the computer screen is a colourful take on Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. The other side is a list of body parts and line graphs with indecipherable coloured lines moving through them. After a couple of minutes, the therapist asks you to remove your hand and then reads the findings.
What did she find?
After looking at me as if she was about to announce that I had a brain tumour, she squeals. What's wrong? My aura colours show that I'm overtired and need more energy (not surprising) and that my neck is stiff and tight (typical office worker). I have too much red and yellow swirling around my head and this is a sign that things are bad on the sleep front. I look closely at the screen, but it doesn't look all that different from the way it did before I put my hand on the sensor. The therapist then goes through all the graphs and shows the uneven lines that indicate the state of my various body parts and organs. There are so many of them, it's as nonsensical as a child's drawing.
