Time magazine released its annual Best of Asia issue this week, and a few (but not many) city sites made it in. One event winning kudos is the Man Hong Kong International Literary Festival, which was voted the region's best option for bookworms. The other recognition is more curious. Mongkok's Langham Place was considered by Time to be the best art gallery masquerading as a hotel. Specifically, they pointed to its 'sophisticated and uplifting approach', and said it 'houses one of the world's largest collections of modern Chinese art, giving guests a free grounding in ... the art world's hottest phenomenon'. Sadly, though, that's all for Asia's World City. Perhaps we should worry less about the 'world' bit and focus more on the 'Asia' part.
