The designer sneaker trend continues, with D-Mop and Adidas inviting adventure photographer Vincent Skoglund, along with two designers, to come up with exclusive funky foot gear. The results were debuted on Friday - 56 pairs of limited-edition Adicolor which, to be honest, are regular high-tops that have been splashed with graffiti paint with a picture of Skoglund on the tongue.
'It's cool. I like that my face will be walking around Hong Kong,' says Skoglund (left). 'The idea is that it encourages people to be creative. They will stand out wearing these shoes. I think youth in Asia are way more adventurous when it comes to fashion. I'm not sure this design would go down so well in places like Europe.'
Well, Europeans are such suckers for wanton consumerism.
Skoglund also admitted he created 112 pairs of the distinctive shoes. So where are the rest? Let's just say that some celebrities can expect a nice package soon.
