The news may not leave you breathless, but there's a good chance Jade Kwan Sum-yin (right) will get hooked up with Air Supply. It seems the 1980s Aussie crooners are considering writing a song for the local singer. The duo, Graham Russell (the tall, blond guy) and Russell Hitchcock (the short singer), is planning to pluck one lucky singer from as many Asian countries as possible, and write a song for each of them. For Hong Kong, they expressed a musical interest in Kwan. 'Nothing has been confirmed yet, we have to stress that,' Kwan's rep said. 'We are hoping to sit down and discuss the logistics in July. If all goes to plan, Jade will then go to America and record the song there, with a view to releasing it at the end of the year.' As you may drudgingly recall, Air Supply's hits include Lost In Love, All Out of Love, The One That You Love, Young Love and Making Love Out Of Nothing At All. Kwan's new CD is called Jade Loves. We see a theme developing.
