Bond No9 New York has launched its Scent of Peace perfume ($2,110/110ml, in an artist-designed bottle and box) to reflect the 'mutual conviction that the future of our precious city depends on world peace' - post-9/11 particularly - the company says. Bond No9 scents are named after New York streets, landmarks or famous places. Each is said to embody the location. Scent of Peace has top notes of grapefruit and blackcurrant, middle notes of lily of the valley and base notes of cedar wood and musk. For every purchase, US$2 will go to Unicef. Available from Lane Crawford, Pacific Place, and Two IFC.
L'Occitane has two new products (below, left) with extracts of almonds from Provence. The company says almond oil contains proteins that can tackle slackening and dehydration of skin. Apply the Almond Supple Skin Oil ($350/199ml) in the morning and evening to the whole body. It is quickly absorbed and there is no greasy residue. Massage in the Almond Bust Gel ($350/50ml) in circular movements from the base of the breasts up to the neck, either in the morning or evening. It won't stain clothes. Available from L'Occitane stores in Pacific Place, Admiralty, APM Mall, Kwun Tong and Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong.
Bliss Spa's new range of bath products, lotions and soaps are 'like breath mints for the body'. Shock Therapy (right, $200/8.5oz) is an 'intensely' minty shower gel for a real wake-up
call. The Minty Moisture Milk ($250/8.5oz) contains wheat proteins, vitamin E, shea butter and smoothing lactic and salicylic acids to combat uneven skin. The Breath Freshening Lip Balm ($120/0.45oz) with beeswax, vitamin E and aloe can be worn under lip colour. Available from Lane Crawford stores in Times Square and Pacific Place.
OPI's nine new shades (right, $120 each) are for those who like colourful nails. The Brights collection includes minty green, shocking purple, creamy pale pink, red-hot orange and an eye-popping yellow glitter. OPI also has a new range of foot care and hygiene products, including Powder Protection ($115/100g), which helps protect against foot moisture and odour. The callus therapy ($215/118ml), which smooths calluses and dry, cracked skin with natural fruit acids and shea butter. Nail Recovery ($140/30ml) helps improve the look of nails in as little as two to three weeks, by combining aloe, liquorice and peppermint extracts.
Christian Dior's new Dior Addict 2 Summer Breeze eau de toilette ($430/50ml) is a limited-edition version of the original Addict scent, designed to be more 'lighthearted' and summery. Ingredients include magnolia, lemon tree leaf, grapefruit, sandalwood and musk. It will be on sale only as long as the warmer months.
