Award-winning musician David Tao Zee has dismissed rumours that he has had cosmetic surgery.
Taiwanese folk singer Kwong Ming-hok recently claimed artists such as Tao, Jolin Tsai Yi-lin, Wang Lee-hom and Andy Lau Tak-wah had work done at the same clinic he went to.
Tao, who flew back from the US recently to celebrate his 37th birthday with 300 fans in Taipei, said he found the rumour amusing.
'I've never had any plastic surgery. If I did, I should look much better now ... Or my doctor just couldn't do his job and didn't make me look good enough,' said the singer-songwriter.
He said that although someone had introduced him to a famous plastic surgeon in South Korea, he had never considered going under the knife.
'I don't know the person who said all these things. But I think he should check the information he's got.'
