Almost every pop star has a blog now. But do fans ever know who left the messages in virtual reality? On radio yesterday, Taiwanese singer-songwriter David Tao expressed dismay at an anonymous blogger who launched a website in his name.
'Some of my friends called me, saying, 'Hi, I am reading your blog every day'. God knows, I never have had a blog,' the singer said.
The mysterious person sent out updated messages about Tao but also chatted online with Tao's fans who visited the blog frequently. 'I totally have no idea who this guy is,' Tao said.
His Hong Kong fans celebrated Tao's 38th birthday in the singer's absence. One of the fans says: 'We ordered birthday cake, played and sang Tao's songs. We had fun together even without him. At least, we could take photos with the cake.'
