Aveda is raising funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation with the launch of a limited-edition Hand Relief (HK230/150ml) to coincide with breast-cancer awareness month this month. A rich hand cream aimed at softening hands while reducing visible signs of ageing, Hand Relief (right, centre) has been a top-seller since its launch in 1998. The limited edition is 20 per cent bigger, with a pink-ribbon design. This month, HK$30 from the sale of each Hand Relief will be donated to the foundation. Ingredients include hyaluronic acid for moisture, the neurocalm complex (a plant-based extract said to give skin better resistance to emotional and environmental stresses), and a sea fennel extract to 'stimulate beta-endorphine production', which influences the skin's ability to reinforce the epidermis. Red Earth has released a new makeup range for autumn - Lacy Afternoon, a minimalist collection with 'quieter hues and a touch of glamour'.
