Meanwhile, the other news surrounding Andy Lau Tak-wah at the moment has to do with his confirmation that a planned feature film version of the Chinese period classic Three Kingdoms, as a Hong Kong-Korean co-production, has been given the green light. Its apparent all-star cast would include Lau, Leon Lai Ming and Sammo Hung Kam-bo.

Of course, this is not to be confused with Hong Kong director Peter Chan Ho-sun's possible remake of the Chang Cheh classic Blood Brothers, where the rumoured stars are Lau, Jet Li and Takeshi Kaneshiro. It's also a different project from the internet gossip about Lau planning an English-language remake of Chang's period kung-fu hit Five Deadly Venoms (Wu Du), with director Kirk Wong.

Are we clear now?
