Langham Place Hotel's Chuan Spa says it's the first and only spa in Hong Kong to launch Thalgo's eastern spa journey, Indoceane (far left). Thalgo, a specialist in marine cosmetology, has created a complex known as Qi-marine, a 'cellular, stress-relieving' marine active ingredient that works in synergy with extracts of lotus to 'optimise the ritual's relaxing power'. It begins with a purifying body exfoliation with the Sweet and Savoury Body Scrub, while the second step involves a milk bath with soothing musky scents. Hands- on techniques from China and India are then combined for a sculpting massage. Qi-balm, a concentrate of Qi-marine, is first massaged into energy centres to release tension and prepare the body for the massage, before a fragrant body wrap containing Qi-marine, rice bran oil and lotus. The full ritual is two hours for HK$1,650, with a weekday promotion price in October of HK$1,320. Each step can be booked individually as well. The body scrub is HK$450 for 30 minutes, the milk bath HK$200/ 15 minutes, the massage HK$600/60 minutes and the body wrap, HK$400/ 15 minutes.
