It may still be warm out there, but as the temperature drops, the skin on your body - like that on your face - will require a little bit more moisture. To keep skin soft, supple and scented this season, try some of these new luxurious lotions.
1. Organic Elements' (OE) shaping cream (HK$600/250ml) is a whipped body moisturiser that also, it is claimed, firms saggy bits if rubbed in daily in a circular motion. OE is an Italian skin-care brand new to Hong Kong. Available from Sasa stores.
2. This Works: Enjoy Really Rich Lotion (HK$380/200ml) is the handiwork of Kathy Philips, the former British Vogue beauty editor who has created a range of aromatherapy-based skin-care products. It contains shea butter, aloe vera, rose, geranium and chamomile. The scent is natural and long-lasting, and the lotion easily sinks into dry skin. Available from Harvey Nichols, The Landmark, Central.
3. Bliss' 'spaahh'-kling body butter (HK$270/250ml) is a creamy limited-edition moisturiser, which, says its manufacturer, 'evokes the aroma of a fine champagne' with notes of raspberry while also giving a full body glow to brighten up a winter evening. Available from Lane Crawford stores.
4. REN's wild-yam omega-7 body repair cream (HK$620/200ml) claims to offer skin omega 7 from Arctic Sea buckthorn oil (this is believed to target mature, dry skin) and phytosteroids from west African wild yams, said to promote collagen synthesis. REN prides itself on producing 'clean skin care', sourcing ingredients from around the globe that don't contain petrochemicals or synthetic fragrances. Available from Harvey Nichols.
5. Lavera's wild rose body lotion (HK$150/150ml) is 100 per cent organic, made with pure vegetable oils and active plant agents and essences. Made in Germany, the company says this product - which has a faint but sweet rose scent - is suitable for vegans. Available from Watsons Pure Beauty stores in Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui.
